taiji (x japan) full bass solo

Have you ever seen anyone pluck and strum his bass guitar like as though it was a grand piano? I was stunned when my wife first shared this video of Taiji, the bassist of X Japan, performing his solo, with me. Disbanded since 1997, I now understand why my wife loves X Japan this much. She’s right. I don’t think there’s another band as musically strong as they were.

  1. oh my god X JAPAN!!!
They ‘re-banded’ again, and had some reunion tour but then it’s not the same anymore.
I think their branding, marketing of themselves is highly similar to their legendary influence, KISS.
My favourite is Yoshiki, one of the Kurenai (LIVE) was which Yoshiki plays the piano gently and goes wild on drums ;)
But all of those awesomest videos are now removed from youtube.

  2. Well, shit.

I was wondering what had happened to him when I stumbled on this video and pretty much went DDD:

Goddamn I wish I could do that with /my/ bass.

Say something.
