date me

My ideas come at the oddest times. In this instance, it was between writing a proposal that was going nowhere, a chihuahua humping my right leg, an unlit cigarette dangling by the corner of my lips and Anggun cooing about the Sahara in French in the background. At two in the morning, if I could recall correctly.
The cheesy idea? A calendar with local bloggers, for local bloggers. Why? From a PR practitioner’s perspective, I suppose there won’t be an excuse anymore for not remembering the local bloggers and their birthdays anymore. Not those whose fat faces and respective names are facing you on your desk anyway. From a blogger’s perspective, well hey, I love me and I get to see me for a good 30 days. No wait, I’m in the month of February. Fuck it. I have only 28 days of me.
Pirelli, we are not. Come and think of it, I don’t think any of us should be seen Pirelli way. Urgh. Still, it has been fun. Special thanks to Willy Foo (photography), Dorothy Poon (art direction), Darran Low (web design) and Daphne Maia (project management). Also, thanks to Claudia Lim for helping us publicise this little project on the Bloggers’ Noticeboard. For those who I’ve failed to thank, don’t fret, just drop me a note and I’d update accordingly. If it’s any consolation, this is a modest lil calendar created by the community for the community. It ain’t no Nobel prize worthy theory. No one’s going to notice. And no, I don’t think you can place this under ACHIEVEMENTS in your resume.
