The Doll Stopped Crying
By Pat Law™ • May 20th, 2007 • Category: The Artist, The Dark One
Her teacher asked the Class to write down 10 things that made each of them happy. Your homework for the weekend, she said.
She wrote:
1. Lucy, the doll Daddy gave me before he died.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
She stared blankly at the piece of paper, not knowing what else to write.
Lucy began to cry.
She never went back to school again.

Thanks Shanna. Urgh! I’m jealous! I wanna be in NY too!
You’re still as dark as the first day I met you.
You’re still as deep as the first day I met you.
You’re always you.
Uhm…. Lucy began to cry? Isn’t ‘Lucy’ the doll?? So… the doll cried and not the girl who was given the school assignment? And because the doll cried, the girl never went back to school? Or was it Lucy the doll who never went back to school?
This is too hard to figure out on a Monday morning. I need my hot chocolate….
Midnight suffers from MMM. You know.. the M** Mode Monday syndrome.
You know what’s uncanny? I just half-wrote a post called The Doll. Have been unable to finish it.
Go finish it. I wanna read.
