Child’s Mind
I can so see these disturbingly beautiful works of art by Tokyo based illustrator, Ryohei Hase, plastered on my walls. I’m glad Ryohei Hase is not based in Singapore for he will be stuck with pathetic low quality art competitions funded by art-deficient banks that award a crap work of sloppy digital retouching of photographs for its Painting of the Year. The melodramatic creative rationale must’ve moved you.
Do me a favour, all you fellow Singapore based artists. If you’re that good, don’t lower yourself to be judged by a jury of art connoisseur wannabies who can’t tell the difference between an artist and a bullshitter. Please. Don’t insult yourself.
Before you retort with a “But…”, name me just one artist, be it one from the Arts, Fashion or Music industries (and what not), who made it big by starting from this culturally handicapped country as oppose to one who started in another country more deserving of his/ her talent.
C’mon, name me one and shut me up.
