a good day to die hard

By • Feb 6th, 2013 • Category: The Advertising Slut

To celebrate Die Hard’s 25th anniversary, 20th Century Fox gave a little street in L.A. a large mural of the character, John McClane.

This is unlikely to happen in Singapore. Firstly, you have BCA and LTA telling you that your mural is a distraction to the ongoing traffic (and your fuckugly bus ads aren’t?). Then you have Media telling you that in spite of the space being cheap as a result of not being a prime area, eyeballs are low (why oh why can’t you be honest and say the commission of the space is just not worthy of your time). Finally, you have the Client asking if you can pay the artists with products instead of cash.

Sad, but true.
