blogathon 2009

By Pat Law • Jul 14th, 2009 • Category: Lead Story

In the past couple of weeks, we have been busy laying down the tracks for a particular marathon. One that doesn’t even require the runners to run in the first place.

Well, not unless you consider the extremely limited toilet breaks provided in the challenge.

For twenty four hours, 10 bloggers will compete head-to-head against each other in a Blogathon where they will blog, blog, tweet, blog, tweet, blog and blog inside TANGS’ window displays. 40 winks aren’t allowed, although hey, we understand the need for the occasional flirting with the passerbys from outside the windows. Two winners will be crowned (ok, not literally but you get the jist) – Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice.

Criteria for Judges’ Choice:
Total number of posts and comments generated each with a minimum of 140 words and 140 characters respectively

Criteria for People’s Choice: Most number of unique votes collected at the event (yes, come down and vote for your favourite blogger!)

Come join us in this historical event as we watch the bloggers battle it out! And no, you may not feed the bloggers with peanuts.

More details to be revealed on the day itself.

Date:
Friday, July 17, 2009 – Saturday, July 18, 2009

Time:
18:00h

Venue:
TANGS Orchard, 310 & 320 Orchard Road
